Hardware Requirements
The hardware required for a Screenberry system depends on the project workload. When checking whether a computer is suitable, consider:
- Total output resolution and frame rate
- Media resolution, codec, and the number of simultaneous media layers
- Number and type of video or camera inputs
- Audio-channel requirements
- Calibration, tracking, TouchEngine, Notch, and other processing requirements

Note: Higher output resolutions, additional inputs, and more demanding project processing require more capable hardware. Validate the complete project on its intended production hardware before deployment.
Network
Connect the Operator Workstation and Media Server computer through Ethernet. Wi-Fi can be used, but a wired connection is recommended for a production system.
Graphics
The graphics card used for Screenberry Server video output must support OpenGL 3.3.
Some graphics cards can combine several physical outputs into one desktop surface. The feature name depends on the manufacturer and product family.

Where the graphics driver provides these controls:
- Set Power Management to Maximum Performance.
- Set Output Dynamic Range to Full.
Video output
Screenberry can output to projectors, LCD, LED, PDP, and other display devices supported by the graphics card. Output devices can connect directly to graphics-card ports or through a video-wall controller or graphics-expansion device.
The number and resolution of outputs depend on the computer hardware, graphics configuration, operating-system support, and Screenberry license capacity.
Audio output
Screenberry Server supports Mono, Stereo, 5.1, and 7.1 output configurations. Multi-channel systems can use MADI and Dante interfaces and ASIO, WASAPI, or WINMM protocols where supported by the selected platform and hardware.
Video and camera input
Screenberry works with supported capture devices, including products from Datapath Vision, Blackmagic DeckLink, Deltacast, and Magewell. Support varies by operating system and device model; check Platform Support before selecting capture hardware.
Hardware drivers
Install the manufacturer-provided drivers required by each graphics card, capture device, and audio interface. Test driver changes with the complete Screenberry project before using them in production.
Prepare a production computer
Operating-system updates, driver changes, notifications, restarts, sleep, and power-saving behavior can interrupt media playback. Before a show or deployment:
- Schedule operating-system and driver updates outside production hours.
- Test updates and driver changes before applying them to the production system.
- Prevent the Media Server computer from sleeping while Screenberry Server is running.
- Disable nonessential notifications during playback.
- Confirm that the selected graphics-performance settings remain active.
- Test all outputs, inputs, audio channels, and network connections with the production project.
Keep the operating system and security updates maintained through a controlled maintenance process rather than leaving the computer permanently unpatched.
